Bodybrains provides 1:1 sessions, including, clinical therapy cycles (4-10 sessions and ongoing work, as needed) as well as brief counselling (1-3 sessions). Sessions can be online or in person. We sometimes run groups and workshops. We also provide consulting to other service providers.
Read about the therapist and methodology for more information on the Bodybrains approach.

Contained, collaborative, and focused on using the playful and creative mind to meet challenges. The therapist’s role is to help shape your process, and offer different perspectives and specialist knowledge.
Depending on what we’re aiming to do, sessions can be approached as more directive or less directive, more driven by talking or by doing, and more explicit or more implicit in how we approach themes from your life. These types of variables can be adjusted at any time.

Bodybrains session work might be for you if:
→ You want to explore something personal (a problem, question, belief) within a contained interpersonal structure
→ You don’t quite know how to put that something into words, or maybe words miss the point
→ You would like to find a fresh outlook on something that you’ve become stuck on
→ You wonder if it’s ‘normal’ to experience this level of internally felt complexity and ambiguity
These are all natural human feelings. If you feel you could benefit from outside help, this may be a place for you to do that.
In some cases, these sorts of feelings can be amplified or made more difficult when they arise in association with stressful circumstances beyond your control, including physical or mental health challenges. We are equipped to encompass these sorts of factors in our approach.
We can also work towards goals associated with functional outcomes, including in a context of disability. For this type of work, my scope is in the realm of building neurophysiological capacity so that the sensations of life are less overwhelming and draining.
Bodybrains is highly neurodivergence-informed.
